So far the best I have used. Others break to often are need to be removed in 4 hours. These torque down by hand no special tool needed. Out of a box of 100 I had about 4 break while tightening ( very good). Also when knocking out had ZERO pieces left to clean out like other wedge style brands do. I doubt I go back to wedge style. I do like the reusable metal ones on small tiles or near ceiling where hammering could do damage.

First tile leveling system I've tried was Tuscan. We abandoned using it because the straps would snap before an adequate amount of tension was used to level the tile. I had a job that involved installing about 600 SQ ft of 8x48 plank tiles. I was shocked at how well the tiles pulled flush. I did have a little experience with tiles shifting as mentioned in another review. A light tap with a block and a rubber mallet took care of the tile movement. The spacers won't allow you to over correct the tile. The results were awesome. Wouldn't have been able to achieve the same results in the same time (as compared to tiling without a leveling system).

I used these on 900 SF of 18" x 36" porcelain tile over a fairly bad old mill floor. Covered it first with Ditra mat then used 1/2" notch trowel - back buttering and using Spin Doctors With the Anti Friction disks at all intersections. The tile followed the roll in the floor but there is almost no discernible lippage. For better than I thought I could achieve. You must use the disks if you are going to apply any kind of tension on the tile, and you can put quite a bit on if needed. I have had my own full time Tile Installation business for over 29 years and I think these things are great. You do need to know what you're doing though. Not for rookies. The mud application needs to be close and then you can Dial it in with these. 2 Thumbs UP

So let me start with saying I was not big on using lippage control systems to begin with but after using RLS for most of 2016 especially on plank it has become a necessity. Although I was happy with RLS I figured I would try the Spin Doctor and within the first 10 sq ft. I was not impressed at all. When spinning the cap the tile shifted and the joint would pinch after a few more feet I was able to get a more consistent result but was not thrilled about it. I finished the job and knocked off the cap and the floor was good, not great. The other issue I have is once the job is done I had to remove the waste from each cap..... I am sticking to RLS! In my opinion, the spin doctor system was made for homeowners, not for contractors.
