Wood Chippers and Chipper/Shredders

A chipper and a shredder solve two different yard waste problems in one machine. The chipper side runs branches and brush through a blade to break them down into mulch. The shredder side handles lighter material like leaves and small yard debris, cutting volume down dramatically before it goes into a compost pile or yard waste bin.

Intake capacity is what separates one model from the next. A larger maximum branch diameter processes bigger material without jamming or needing it pre-cut down to size, which matters most on properties with mature trees or regular brush clearing. A smaller capacity unit costs less and takes up less storage space, which suits lighter, more occasional yard cleanup.
