Suction Cups & Material Handlers for Tile, Stone & Glass

Moving tile and stone without cracking it or your back is its own skill, and it starts with the right suction cup. This category covers everything from small single cups for setting individual tiles to heavy-duty double cup lifters built for hauling full slabs across a shop floor.

QEP's double suction cup is probably the most common one out there, rated to hold 88 pounds and built for smooth, non-porous material like stone, cultured marble, and glass. Rubi covers a wider range, their standard vacuum cup handles heavier stone and tile, and they also make a rough surface version specifically for textured ceramic that a smooth cup won't grip. DTA's 8 inch metal handle cup and POWERTEC's heavy suction cup push into serious lifting territory, POWERTEC's rated up to 286 pounds with a gauge, which starts to matter once you're moving large format slabs instead of standard tile. Bihui's mini mushroom cup rounds things out for small, precise handling where you don't need serious lifting power, just a solid grip for adjustment work.

The debate worth knowing about here is manual pump versus gauge cups. A basic manual pump cup, like Rubi's or Redbelly's, relies on a safety mark that changes when suction starts to fail, which means you're checking it visually and re-pumping as needed. A gauge cup, like POWERTEC's, gives you a direct pressure reading so you know exactly how much hold you've got before you commit to lifting something heavy. For small tile, the difference barely matters. For a large format slab you don't want slipping mid-lift, a lot of installers prefer having the gauge.
