Floor Vent Registers and Portable Job Site Heaters

A vent register has to match the flooring around it, not just the size of the opening. Registers built for a specific flooring line, matched in color and thickness to brands like Mohawk, Shaw, or Pergo, sit flush with that flooring so the register doesn't stand proud or leave a visible gap. Flush mount metal registers take a more universal approach, finished in a range of colors that work across different floor types rather than matching one brand exactly.

Heater type comes down to how the space needs to warm up. A radiant heater throws direct heat toward whatever it's aimed at, working quietly without blowing air or stirring up dust, which suits spot heating in one area of an open job site. A forced air heater heats a larger space faster by actively moving warm air through it, though that airflow can kick up dust in an active work area. Fuel source narrows it further: propane and natural gas heaters need proper ventilation to run safely indoors, while a construction-rated kerosene heater offers another option where those fuels aren't practical.

Perfect Vents supplies most of the flooring-matched vent registers on this page. Ventiques and Grill Works add more flush mount and custom vent options. HeatStar covers the widest range of radiant and forced air heaters, and Dewalt adds cordless and corded heater options. Isla Carmen LLC rounds out the remaining vent registers.
