Schluter® KERDI SHOWER-LTS Linear Drain Shower Trays

Schluter-KERDI-SHOWER-LTS are prefabricated expanded polystyrene sloped trays with integrated KERDI waterproofing designed to accept the KERDI-LINE linear drain. The pan features a linear drain template on the perimeter and reduced perimeter heights to facilitate the installation of curbless showers.

Do you have to use the Kerdi drain with the Schluter shower pan?

The Schluter®-KERDI-DRAIN and Schluter®-KERDI-LINE drains are designed to integrate with the Schluter®-Shower System. The Schluter®-Shower System 10-Year Limited Warranty is void if other drains are used.

Can I cut a Kerdi shower pan to size?

Yes. The KERDI-SHOWER- T/-TS/-TT trays can be cut to size to fit various applications. Ideally, the tray should be cut by equal amounts on all four sides to ensure a consistent height of the first course of the wall tile. However, slight differences can typically be made with thin-set mortar when setting the floor tile.

The Schluter®-KERDI-SHOWER-LTS linear drain shower trays are pre-sloped at 2% (1/4" per foot) toward the drain, ensuring reliable drainage and proper waterproofing performance. This slope is built into the tray during manufacturing, so no additional sloping is required during installation.

My shower size is 76x42, is it possible to accomdate this size that is larger than any of the available dimensions?

Schluter recommends using their Schluter KERDI SHOWER-LTS Linear Drain Shower Tray SKU: 1235-38x76 L and then using 2in dry pack mortar along the edges making sure you keep a ¼" slope per foot. Then waterproof it with their Schluter Kerdi Waterproofing Membrane SKU: 4570 If you have more questions feel free to contact Schluter at (888) 472-4588

I am interested in the linear drain against the long side, but the 38"x76" is the only one. The shower width is 70". Can I trim the edges down? Is the indicator on the tray for the drain only a template, or is it structurally important?

No, the largest size Kerdi-Shower center drain tray is 55" (140cm) x 55" (140cm). It is Schluter product number KSLT1395. You can cut the tray to size prior to application; ideally, the tray is cut equally on all sides to ensure a consistent perimeter height.
