Schluter-PRIMER-PS Primer for Peel & Stick Membranes

Schluter PRIMER-PS is a one-component, solvent-free, water-based primer that is ready-to-use right out of the jug. It is specifically formulated to enhance the bond of Schluter peel and stick membranes to difficult-to-bond to surfaces such as OSB, plywood, gypsum concrete, or vinyl.

• Ideal for use with DITRA-PS, DITRA-HEAT-PS, and DITRA-HEAT-DUO-PS
• Can be used in interior applications where increased adhesion is required over various porous and non-porous substrates
• Ready-to-use, single-coat application with roller or broom
• One-component, solvent-free, water-based acrylic formulation
• PRIMER-PS is a translucent gray liquid that dries to a slightly tacky film approximately 10-60 minutes after application
• Low odor and zero-VOC
• Freeze/thaw stable
• 1 quart coverage: 50-113 ft2 (5-10.5 m2)*
• 1 gallon coverage: 250-450 ft2 (23-42 m2)*
• Provides a strong bond to concrete, gypsum concrete, plywood, OSB subfloor panels, existing tile, steel, resilient flooring (vinyl), well-bonded flooring adhesive residue, and more
• ***Primer-PS is not a moisture or vapor barrier
• Primer is not a requirement for installation of Schluter peel-and-stick membranes, but for optimal performance the use of one is strongly encouraged

*Coverage will depend on the porosity of the substrate and method (i.e., roller, brush, sprayer, etc.) of application.

• Not for use in exterior applications
• Not for use in submerged applications unless waterproofing is applied
