Very good with one flaw

The unit is very good except the clamp that holds the rig at the correct drilling angle is not good. You need to tighten up the clamp bolt extreamly tight so that the angle will not drift off 90 degrees while drilling for example. Needs a better calmping system.

The DMS 180 can accept core bits up to 6" in diameter and has a travel length of 19 inches on the stand. The depth at which you will need to drill will depend a lot on the core bit and extensions you are using. The machine will be able to handle the 1-3/4 inch bit but you will need to research the bit that will allow a core travel for the depth you require for the material you are cutting through.
