I am putting down 2400 sq ft of 5/8" engineered white Oak onto 25 year old concrete that has just been ground flat. What trowel size would you recommend and do you offer contractor pricing for your glue? Also how long is the shelf life of your material? I understand some people have received product from other companies that have been outdated and already started hardening.

For 5/8" thick engineered wood, a 1/4" x 3/8" x 1/4" Square Notch or a 1/2" x 15/32" x 1/2" V-Notch trowel is recommended. Make sure the concrete surface is not shiny and smooth so that the adhesive bonds better to the substrate.Shelf life is one year from date of manufacturing in closed, original packaging. Must be stored between 50°F 10°C and 100°F 38°C. We currently do not offer Contractor Pricing on this product.

Is this the same as the Bostik GreenGrip? It appears there may have been a name change? All the information on the products looks exactly the same

GreenGrip is essentially the same, however, it has a few different chemical properties.

What sq ft would a 4-gallon cover? Solid bamboo

For the adhesive and moisture membrane installation method on solid bamboo is an estimated coverage of 30-35 sq ft. per gallon. For adhesive only installation method on solid bamboo is an estimated coverage of 40 sq ft. per gallon.

Absolutely great product. I’ve used other wood floor glues and they are disastrous mess always. This stood up and was easy to work with an easy to clean up

What is the highest RH level the Greenforce adhesive will work with to glue down hardwood flooring before having to use a product like MV4? I have a 40 year old slab with RH levels at 85-89%?

Green force RH limits moisture vapor protection in excess of 99% RH. The only requirements for installation is having a open porous surface that is dry to the touch. A vapor test is not required on a concrete slab.

How do you clean tools when using Bostick green adhesive?

Bostik recommends that you immediately clean all tools and equipment before material cures with a dry, non-abrasive towel. A good trowel clean-up tip: Before use, cover areas of the trowel that are not used to spread the adhesive with duct tape or blue tape. After use, simply tear off tape before material cures, and clean the remainder of the trowel with a towel.

How many sq ft of flooring/gal of bostik adhesive?

For mvp and sound reduction adhesive installation methods with solid, engineered or bamboo wood flooring up to 5/8" thick, the coverage is 30-35 sq.ft. per gallon when using a 1/4" v-notch or square notch trowel. If the floor is greater than 5/8" thick, the coverage is 20 sq.ft. per gallon. Please refer to the Bostik trowel selection / coverage section of the installation manual for more information.
