The only choice

I’ve been using these for years. When I had to get a new tile saw it came with a new dewalt blade and I literally cut one tile with it and took it off and put in an Alpha and never looked back. I like it better than Montolit blades too.

Porcelain's Best Friend

I bought a new sliding wet saw and it cut the tile just fine on the left side of the blade, but it left a terrible cut on the right side with the stock blade. I swaped out the blade for another one of the same brand, and the same thing happened. The blade was square to the table, and the table slid parellel to the blade. I then checked the tile itself and discovered that my 13" tile had a slight bow in the middle. I could feel the blade chatter ever so slightly partway throught the cut, so I thought the bow was the problem and that I was stuck manipulating the tiles so that the non-hidden side was cut on the left side of the blade. After much research into this problem, and blades in general, I decided to give the Alpha Porcellana a try. Wow! Both sides are perfect! With a controlled, steady pase, and a couple swipes with a diamond pad, the cut side looks almost exactly like the stock side. I can even cut very narow slivers with both sides of the cut looking great. To my surprise, I made approximatly 50 cuts and never had to dress the blade. It still cuts as well as it did on cut one. I went from dreading the job to loving it all because of the Porcellana. Thank you Contractors Direct for so strongly suggesting this blade; for me, it delivered on its promise of being the best blade for procelain.

Porcellana Wet Diamond Blade 10"

Great blade! At first I was skeptical. It was chipping my glazed tile, but after one job this blade performed as it was advertised.

Thumbs up for Contractor's Direct

The blade I wanted was not available from the manufacturer. Contractor's Direct (CD) recommended the Porcellana. After much research, the blade appears to be among the best for the features I specified to the CD Rep. Regardless of the time taken for my own research, the representative who recommended the blade saved me much time and energy. My project has yet to begin, so I can't comment on the blade's performance. However, I can comment on the confidence I have in Contractor's Direct and my appreciation for their quality service. The shipping process was easy and delivery was prompt, as stated. If possible, I will comment on the blade once it is used.

Awesome blades

Purchased a 7" and a 4-3/8 Porcellana wet blade. Both blades cut flawlessly with no chipping. Smooth cuts every time. We will be buying these blades again in the near future. These blades will be my go-to from here on out. Thank you Contractors Direct for your great customer service..

Makes clean cuts, time and time again.

I am using this blade to make 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 tiles from 20 x 20 tiles we had left over from a floor job. The smaller tiles will be used for a back splash and edges will be very visible. We needed clean (not ragged) cuts and are getting this with this blade. I still have more to go, but this blade has out shown any other porcelain blade I have owned.

Alpha Porcellana 10 inch blade

Had purchased several blades (all supposedly the top of the line per manufacturer) at local stores and was not happy with the chipping I was getting during cuts. I contacted contractors direct and asked if they could recommend a good blade. they responded "Our best diamond blade available is the Alpha Porcellana. Some other well reviewed blades are Pearl DTL10HPXL and Terminator." So I decided to try the Alpha Porcellana. This is by far the best blade I have ever used. Fast cutting, almost no chipping and difficult to tell which side is the cut side. I definitely recommend this blade and thank contractorsdirect for their recommendation.

Not that great.

I read all the reviews of this blade and thought I had found what I was looking for. This blade does not even come close to the raves about. It dulled after the 3rd cut. Maybe my saw needs to be adjusted, I don't know, but I am not happy with this purchase.

Have mixed feelings about this blade

First of all, this 4-3/8" blade make fantastic glass smooth cuts with no chipping. The bad, the description say it required no dressing, but that does not seems to be in my case. I used it for cutting 18 x 36 porcelain tiles with the Alpha AWS-110 wet saw and rail guide system. The first time, I was impressed how fast it cut the tile, leaving smooth cut. The next few cuts, I had to put more force on the saw to cut into the tile to the point where I fear the tile will crack. The cuts were no no longer straight as the blade had wandered off the mark. I dressed the blade on a concrete paver following the website instructions making a dozen cuts into it. After that, it just barely cut the next tile without too much force. Finally, I reversed the blade, and now it cut much better. Not sure if that is a good thing.

Best Blade to cut Porcellain

Purchased this specifially for a home project that involved cutting 18x18 tiles (diagonally) - the advertisment "best blade to cut porcellain" was the main driver for this purchase. The blade did not disappoint - clean cuts with no noticeable chipping. In hindsight, I should have purchased the smaller 7" blade (or even 5") instead of the 10" - might have drifted a bit less than the larger blade when making small adjustment cuts.

Great blade

Overall this is a fantastic blade, much better than the original blade that came with my wet saw. After reading all of the reviews, I expected a blade that didn't chip the tile at all. Granted I was a little disappointed when small chips appeared, but they are dramatically smaller than the original blade. When making small adjustment cuts, it has a tendency to drift, but again much less than the original blade. Let's just say that I would buy one again.
