The Husqvarna DMS 180 is a lightweight core drill rig for the rental shop or professional who requires high performance in a compact machine.

Is this removable from the rig, for hand drilling applications?

Can I use an 18 inch core bit in this product?

This core drill can use core bits up to 6" (153mm) in diameter.
Can this drill handle 1-3/4" boring up to 4 or 5ft through onyx, granite, travertine, etc.?

The DMS 180 can accept core bits up to 6" in diameter and has a travel length of 19 inches on the stand. The depth at which you will need to drill will depend a lot on the core bit and extensions you are using. The machine will be able to handle the 1-3/4 inch bit but you will need to research the bit that will allow a core travel for the depth you require for the material you are cutting through.

Very good with one flaw

The unit is very good except the clamp that holds the rig at the correct drilling angle is not good. You need to tighten up the clamp bolt extreamly tight so that the angle will not drift off 90 degrees while drilling for example. Needs a better calmping system.
