Rubi Cyclone Leveling System Caps

Rubi's new leveling system is designed to avoid lippage during the laying of ceramic tile in both floor and wall tiles.

Rubi has changed the color of the caps from red to grey. The 300 piece caps will be grey and the other sizes will be grey when stock runs out. The main benefit of making the caps grey is preventing them from leaving marks on white/clear materials during installation. Other than that, it’s the exact same plastic and has the same properties.

  • Easy, fast and intuitive to use as no prior user experience is necessary
  • No tools required - simply spin the screw cap into place and hand tighten
  • Spacer bases fit below tiles and then the cap is screwed on
  • Guaranteed flatness and regularity of the laying surface
  • Recommended for tiles thickness from 3 - 18 mm (1/8" - <3/4")

Technical Data

  • Use on most tile and stone from 3 - 18 mm (1/8" - <3/4") thick
  • Minimum joint size: 1/32" (1mm)
  • 100, 300, or 1200 caps per bag

How to use

  • STEP 1: Place spacer bases under tile once thinset has been applied
  • STEP 2: Apply Cap. The cap will align with the top of the base allowing for easy threading
  • STEP 3: Spin cap onto base and once the cap makes contact with the tile, turn the cap until the adjacent tiles are level, no need to over-tighten
  • STEP 4: After thinset has cured break off caps and bases. It’s important to break the cyclone caps by kicking them or hitting with a rubber mallet, in the direction of the grout joint
  • STEP 5: Remove the broken bases from caps by unscrewing them (caps are reusable and will last multiple jobs with proper installation and removal)
