Schluter Kerdi Band Waterproofing Strip
KERDI Band waterproofing strip is used to seal the seams and joints between substrates in your shower installation. It is a vapor retarder that guarantees uniform thickness.

Common Questions
Does the Kerdi band need to dry before tiling?
Tile can be installed right away for most installations of KERDI-BOARD. Exceptions include curved wall areas and non-bearing partition wall systems
Why can't you use a modified Thinset with Kerdi?
Modified thin-set mortars aren't recommended for use with Kerdi because they must dry out to gain strength, whereas the membrane inhibits drying, which can lead to unpredictable results.
