Ebbe America Subfloor Lowering Kit
The Ebbe Subfloor Lowering Kit quickly and easily lowers a subfloor between the joists for a barrier-free, curbless shower installation. This kit is perfect for I-joists because you install the bracket on top of the I-joist.
Features
- Brackets need to be spaced at a maximum of 36″ to achieve L/360 with a live load of 40PSF and a dead load of 20PSF
- 2x4 lumber will sit on the brackets, and a 3/4" plywood subfloor will be built upon that frame
- Kit will lower your floor up to 24 SF
- It avoids joist penetrations and the need for web stiffeners
- Wall brackets can be adapted to be used at joists
- Use of subfloor adhesive at hanger seats is recommended
- If the subfloor is thick, trim the 2x4 so the subfloor is flush with the joist
- Recommended structural grade 2 or better Douglas fir, larch, or pine 2x4 lumber
- 2x4 and subfloor material not included
