"Today's tile and stone pieces are larger and more expensive than in years past. Consequently, architects and their clients want the pieces set very close together for that striking "slab look." This requires accurate, chip free cutting performance. The Combi 250VA delivers this performance for the most demanding installations, day after day. GUARANTEED!" - Mace T. Coleman Jr

the only drawback for this saw is the miter gauge. It doesn't stay in place when making a cut.
Great Saw for larger tiles

It would be nice if the extention tray fit the right side of the saw also. Like any other tool its how you and your men use and take care of them that will determine how straight they will cut and how long they will last. Great Saw

I own the previous version of this saw which has the frame made out of steel and no side table. All I can say is it is truly a wonderful saw to use. I don't think I've ever cracked a tile while cutting it even free hand off the table for say around a closet ring in a bathroom. If you do get it definitely get a wet tent with it so you can use it inside when it gets cold outside. Super great combo! It also got to me quick from these guys

I love this saw. It is light, powerful, and the rip capacity is enough to do 99% of the jobs I encounter. I will never go back to a fixed head saw again, the sliding head provides a much needed feature of scoring the surface of the tile before cutting through, this keeps porcelain from breaking where you don't want it. If there is a Con to the saw, it is the table. It is easy to fix by applying a peice of corian to the top. Overall, this saw is excellent and I will buy another when I need to.

Bought this saw to do a job with 22" porcelan tile set diagonly so I needed the big cut capacity. I also fitted it with the porcellana blade. After using this I am getting rid of my old saw. It would drive me nuts to use it after the smooth cuts the Imer Combi 250VA makes. I also used it to cut 1" stone to line the shower niche. Only drawback I found was that some water would run on the floor between the main table and the extension table when cutting the big tiles. I built a 40"x44"x2" deep sheet metal pan to set the whole arangement in, tossed in a few rags, and this woorked great. I love the plunge feature. It made cutting heat register slots and the small stones in the deco band a breeze.

Purchased this saw two years ago from Contractors Direct and it still runs like new. I've owned 20 different wet saws over the years and If I were to weigh pros and cons this has the best features by far. Power, lightweight, ease of set up, and accurate. Free shipping to top it off.
