Water Pumps for Job Site Dewatering

Water on a job site, whether it's a flooded excavation, a rain-soaked foundation, or standing water on a slab, needs to move fast, and the right pump depends on what's in that water along with it. A submersible pump sits underwater and pushes it out, the standard choice for most general dewatering where the water is relatively clear. A trash pump handles what a standard submersible can't, passing debris, gravel, and solids through the impeller without clogging or stalling.

Centrifugal pumps sit above the water instead of in it, drawing water up through a suction hose. That surface-mounted setup makes them easy to move between locations and simple to service, though they need to stay primed to keep working. Diaphragm pumps take a different approach entirely, using a flexible diaphragm instead of an impeller, which lets them run dry without damage and handle mud, sludge, and heavy solids that would wreck most other pump types.
