What is the minimum requirement for a tile to be considered large format?

Tiles that have at least one side dimension of 15 inches or greater. However, the tile does not have to be 15 inches on each side. It could be a 4” x 15” tile and still considered a large format tile.

Great Trowel

by DaddyO -

I have really been impressed with how well this trowel bonds and how much leveling it allows after you set the tile. I have used it on walls prepped with the Kerdi system and on a floor installing 12x24 porcelain on top of Ditra Heat. I would highly recommend this style of trowel. A great compromise between a 1/4x3/8 and a 1/2x1/2.

good trowel

by balls deep -

set 700sf of wood plank and job went much smoother and faster than I ever was expecting considering how hard plank is to level. Size is bigger than 1/4x3/8 but less than 1/2x1/2" output
