Masonry Saws for Cutting Brick and Block

A masonry saw handles what a handheld cutter can't. It cuts full block and brick cleanly and repeatedly without wearing out the operator. Most saws on this page fall into two categories. Block saws are built for the larger, heavier cuts a block wall calls for. Brick saws are sized down for the smaller units used in brick work.

Dust control is the other real decision. A traditional masonry saw cuts wet. Water runs over the blade to keep dust down, but it also creates slurry that has to be managed and cleaned up. A dust control saw skips the water entirely. It uses a vacuum system to pull dust away from the blade as it cuts. That keeps the cut area dry and clean, which matters most on indoor jobs or sites where slurry runoff isn't allowed.

IQ Power Tools covers most of the dust control saws on this page. Husqvarna and Norton Clipper cover a wide range of wet cutting block and brick saws. Imer and Pearl Abrasive add more block and brick saw options. Montolit, Crown Construction Equipment, MK Diamond, Multiquip, and Probst round out the remaining saws and cutting tools.
