Leaf Blowers, Handheld and Backpack

Weight and airflow are what actually separate a handheld blower from a backpack blower, not just size. A handheld blower stays light and quick to grab for smaller jobs, quick cleanups, or clearing a driveway between bigger tasks. A backpack blower moves its weight onto the operator's back instead of one arm, which lets it push more air at higher CFM without wearing the operator out over a longer job, useful on larger properties with more square footage to clear.

Power source follows the same pattern seen across the rest of the lawn equipment on this site. Gas blowers push the most air and run the longest without needing a battery swap, which matters on bigger properties or all-day commercial use. Battery blowers trade some of that peak output for a quieter, lighter tool with no mixed fuel or exhaust to manage.

ECHO covers the widest range on this page by far, spanning handheld blowers, backpack blowers, and PAS attachment blowers that run off a shared power head with other ECHO attachments. Husqvarna adds gas and battery blowers of its own across both handheld and backpack styles. Greenworks and Dewalt round out the battery side with their own handheld and backpack platforms.
