Dust Extractors, Vacuums, and Dust Collection Accessories

A dust extractor connects directly to a tool, pulling dust away at the point it's created rather than filtering the air in the room after the fact. That distinction matters most with silica dust, since OSHA's exposure limits are easier to meet by capturing dust at the source than by relying on general ventilation alone. Filter class is the detail to check before buying one, an M-class filter handles general construction dust, while an H-class or HEPA filter is rated for the finer, more hazardous particles that silica and similar dust produce.

Wet/dry vacuums cover general cleanup where the material being picked up isn't necessarily fine or hazardous, useful for job site debris, spills, and standard shop cleanup. Slurry vacuums are built specifically for wet cutting and grinding work, designed to handle the water and sediment mix that a standard wet/dry vacuum isn't built to filter or pump efficiently. Dust separators sit ahead of either type, capturing bulk debris in a cyclone before it ever reaches the vacuum's filter, which extends filter life significantly on jobs generating a lot of dust or debris.

Dustcontrol supplies the widest range of extractors, filters, and separators on this page. Husqvarna and Pullman Ermator add more extractors and wet/dry vacuum options. Alpha Tools and POWERTEC cover additional dust shrouds, filters, and bags. Diteq, Novatek, Pearl Abrasive, Edco, IQ Power Tools, and the remaining brands round out the rest of the accessories and specialty vacuums.
