Blanke TEBA-MAT 90.70 sq ft. Roll

BLANKE TEBA-MAT is a studded membrane made from impact-resistant recycled polystyrene (HIPS). The innovative shape of the studs is combined with a double-woven, glass fiber mesh that serves as both an anchor and a filter layer. The rear of the studded membrane is fitted with non-vapor retarding protective decoupling fleece to affix to the waterproofing layer.

Instructions for Installing TEBA-MAT

Apply adhesive mortar to the waterproofed substrate (1/4" notch), then lay the drainage membrane with the fleece on the underside, ultimately into the freshly applied installation material.
Press down with the aid of a float
Use a utility knife to cut the membrane to the required size. When processing, ensure the membrane joints butt tightly together
The drainage membrane is structured so that the fabric mat can be overlapped lengthwise. Thus, the membrane can be laid to drain in any direction.
Once the adhesive used to glue the membrane has cured, the tiled surface is laid in thin bed adhesive and grouted.
Install expansion joints in accordance with recognized codes of practice, taking the position and alignment into consideration.
Consult the Application Technology department when laying tiles more significant than 23 3/5 inch x 23 3/5 inch.

Areas of Application/Substrates

BLANKE TEBA-MAT can be laid on uniform, sloping (1.5-2%) surfaces, such as terraces and balconies, on waterproofing layers such as BLANKE AQUA SHIELD, and sealing slurries using suitable adhesives approved for use outdoors in which the special fleece from BLANKE TEBA-MAT can become anchored.
