to waterproof tub surround walls on hardiebacker what is best hydro barrier or hydro ban?

Jim,

Both products are effective water proofing options. Hydro Barrier requires the use of a mesh fabric over any seams, while the Hydro Ban is a newer product designed to eliminate need for fabric over spans <1/8" in size.

I am looking for a non-permeable product that I can be roll apply to a concrete bedroom floor that will be covered with carpet. Why? I am trying to block a residual urine odor from pets. I have already cleaned with vinegar, TSP and an enzymatic solution. Will your product do the trick? Thanks!

Provided that the concrete is free of any cleaner residue and that the concrete does not have relative humidity greater than 75% and that the carpet glue is approved for installation over waterproof membranes. Then you would be able to use this product for you application
