Gemini Standard Diamond Blade Kit for Taurus 3 and Apollo

The standard blade is the perfect choice for cutting stained glass pattern and an all around multi-purpose cutting blade.


Features

  • Original replacement blade fits the Gemini Tile Shaper, Taurus 2, and Taurus 3 and Apollo saws
  • Omni-directional blade has the ability to cut at the same speed and kerf in any direction
  • 360 degree diamond coating allows the blade to cut quickly while grinding the edge, leaving it smooth
  • Comes with 2 orange grommets (part no.0485)
  • Note: Do not use for ceramic tile, 3/8" fused glass pieces or thick material in general

How To Use

  • All blades cut the same materials: glass, tile, stone, shell, nonferrous metals, hard plastics such as acrylic and lexan, and anything that has a similar density to these materials
  • All blades use the same belt and grommets. Blades are interchangeable with the same belt and grommets and do not need to be changed unless they are excessively worn
  • Always let the blade do the cutting. Forcing the blade through the material in a hurry will not only cause a slower cut but can also shorten the blade life
  • There is an optimum speed for each blade in each material; you can feel it while you are cutting. Sensitivity to this causes extremely long blade life at which you get maximum cutting speed for minimal pressure

What is the diameter of this blade?

This blade is about 5-7/8" in diameter. It will fit the Taurus 3 and Apollo tile saws.

Taurus T3 #1042 Blade Kit

I haven't installed the new Taurus T3 blade yet but assume that it will be fine since it is labeled as a genuine Taurus product. Therefore at this time I can only comment about the vendor, Contractorsdirect.com.Their website was easy to navigate, ordering process was straightforward and quick, delivery of 1 week after ordering was as expected. The $69.03 price was lower than quoted at most other places.The shipping cost of $12.95 seems high considering that the item weighed only 1.3 ounces and sent by USPS first class mail. However the total was midway between that of Delphi and Amazon, and I probably would order again from contractorsdirect.com due to website simplicity and delivery time. I'll review again when I actually install the blade and use it.

Great Service.

Contractors Direct pricing for this blade kit is very reasonable. Due to manufacturer delays, shipment was delayed considerably but as soon as Contractors Direct received their shipment they immediately shipped out the order. Very pleased in my dealings with Contractors Direct.
