Cuts large porcelain with ease
by Fritzko -
I purchased the 35" cutter to cut 24" polished porcelain on diagonal. It scores and cuts very easily with very few flareoffs. The best cutter I have ever used. I am going to purchase the smaller model for everyday use. Excellent cutter.

You will never use or need another tile cutter again. This one will cut the thick and 2ft plus tiles no problem!

I've bought two of these snappers in the last 12 years. The best snapper on the market. Period. A must have for any serious professional.
Overall Good Buy

I am a 10 yr tile installer. My first encounter with this cutter was a bit rocky. I installed 13" marazzi porcelain on brick pattern (straight cuts). I had many flare offs that required the use of nippers. The Tomecanic did save me many trips to the wet saw. With more experience, this cutter will become more effective . As the right touch is necessary. I would reccomend this tool to any pro as a time saver. Overall the tool is effective for "hidden cuts". Just dont leave the wet saw at home.

Most all bolts loose and aligning cutter with base took a little time as nuts are on bottom and monitoring alignment can only be done from top...not a big deal but an aggravation. The attachment for placing diagonal tiles properly at the rear is accurate and easy to use. Using the side angle bar for doing 45 degree cuts isn't ideal in my opinion due to it being somewhat flexible. Using the front spacing between placement bars is tricky, albeit accurate. Not sure why but have some problems with breaking the tip of the tile...this is on 18" diagonal. Anyway, seems like a pretty good product although primary use is for diagonal and like most other "breakers", this isn't its forte. Just great for perpendicular/parallel cuts.
Better than Sigma
Bought this after trying a Sigma. The sigma was nice but the handle had too much play. The bearings on this are smooth and keep the head nice and stable. Really good scores for less than a sigma.
