Superior Ceramic Tile Nippers

Superior tile nippers are manufactured from the best quality carbide tungsten steel made in the U.S.A.

Superior tile nippers are not recommended for use on porcelain tile

Features

  • Made for lasting durability, they are the finest quality obtainable
  • Length 8 inch (20.32 cm)
  • Tile nippers are used to make circular cuts in ceramic tile
  • Use for straight or angled cuts although you will find it much easier to use a tile cutter or wet saw to make these types of cuts
  • Take small "nips" or "bites" out of it using the tile nippers. Take your time and keep the "bites" small, otherwise you risk breaking the tile and having to start all over again
  • Once the tile is completely cut use a piece of 60 grit sandpaper or a special rubbing stone used by ceramic tile contractors to smooth the finished edge. Especially when the cut will be exposed (e.g. around shower drains) as the edge of the cut tile will be very sharp
  • Handle stop to protect tips
  • Center spring returns jaws to the open position

what happened to these?

by Tommy T -

Superior used to have the best nippers. I have now been through 2 consecutive pairs that break on the FIRST CUT. Contractors Direct is kind in replacing these, but they ain't what they used to be

green nippers

by disappointed

Last pair I owned for 18 year helper threw them out by accident just received my new pair today just to take one nip off a corner of tile and the carbide tip broke off what a disappointment . Have another pair on the way if they fail I guess it will be the last time I buy their nippers ... guess quality ain't their strong suit anymore . They use to be the best nippers on the market

Superior nips aren’t worth the money anymore

by Jack

They used to be the best nippers but I have had three new pairs now and they all failed! The carbide tip came off the first time I used each pair. Superior needs to fix this problem as for right now I will stick with the cheaper ones they seem to last the longest.
