Solid and fast. Great for the pro.

I filled in the roller holes with thinset with Kerelastic to help dry the sponge more. I also cut the rinsing grid down so it takes less water to fill. The instruction video is dead wrong when the guy floods the floor and then goes back over it. Your goal should be to try dressing and finishing in 2 passes over any given area (including the overlap of the previous pass), with the leading edge LOWER than the tailing edge (put more pressure on the front). Only 1-2 square feet per "rinse and squeeze" cycle should be done, otherwise there will be too much haze left over. View sponge after you wipe to see if you're doing too much (tailing edge should still be clean). Slits in the sponge suck, as their only effect is to maybe leave a mark in the grout if you press too hard. I like their thinness though (easier squeezing). Bucket stability is ok, perhaps not as good as other buckets, but the water stays in really good when rollering. 3 rollers really help to not overshoot the rollers, thus saving about 1 precious second per squeeze, and more when you don't have to clean up the water on the cabinet faces when you do. It's just big enough if you want to use an oversized sponge. The only improvements I might further suggest would be to have locking casters on the back as well as the front and a flexible yet strong bottom that allows for easy knocking out of hardened grout. It's too rigid to do that now, so a putty knife works. The grid supports are cones that fill with grout. I don't like the hook and loop design because it limits squeezing (I think sponges should be contact cemented on). The heavy handles sure feel nice though, and are easy on blisters. There are no bearings in the rollers, yet all the plastic involved somehow shows no wear after more than a year of use. Change the video and the Barwalt Ultra is approaching perfection. Well done.

The only concern I have is that hooks on sponge handle are not glued very well. I have to glue them again after a week of use

When I saw the video on this and some of the replies I said to myself ... Self can you really think this item is going to help you in your tiling work. Well let me tell you this is the best thing since sliced bread. I can remember the response on the guy that helps me with my tiling jobs ... holy crap, now what am I going to do. You see he hauled the water and clean the sponges. Now he just watches. I just couldnt beleive the results. I was wondering were the residue was going on when I cleaned the sponge. I'm going to order another one so the guy watching now that carried the water has something to do. Out standing job by Barwalt ... thank you, Bob

WOW

by Chris Spurlock -

Don't listen to the guy with all the crazy instructions, I have been using this kit for 15 + years and all you have to do is don't put any extra pressure on the sponge and DO NOT MODIFY A THING it is designed to work well for those who use it right. I would not ever do another tile job without this tool. And the slits work great like tiny squeegees and if they are leaving marks in your grout, you are putting way too much pressure. The less pressure the better. I can grout 2000 ft. with one bucket of water, cleaning it only once and it is absolutely flawless. Try not to get any water on the floor though as it will cause discoloration.
