For use beneath ceramic tile and stone installations, Mapeguard UM is a high-performance, lightweight, waterproofing, and vapor-pressure-equalizing underlayment membrane that also provides crack suppression for both residential and commercial applications.
Features
- Applicable to tile-over-tile installations as well as concrete or wood substrates
- Can be used to replace floor cement backer board
- Textured surface for improved thin-set adherence and chalk line retention
- Rating: Extra Heavy ASTM C627
- A 1/8" crack isolation (3 mm)
- Low profile, with a thickness of 1/8" (3 mm)
- Cavities that are formed like circles and make troweling simple
- Strong mechanical and compressive properties
- Up to 25 lbs. (11.3 kg) of vapor control with 100% relative humidity in MVER
- Very little roll memory
- Lightweight for easy handling and fast installation
- Two-layer design; blue
- On a wood substrate, satisfactory up to 19.2" (49 cm) OC
- Cannot be positioned beneath LVT or wood flooring
- Does not permit SLU on top
