The tool was purchased to help establish tile cuts along the wall for a diagonal tile lay. I was somewhat skeptical at purchase but became a committed proponent of the tool. We were able to make one adjustment on the tool and were able to cut all but the most complex cuts using this tool and a little thought even on corners. Had toreset the tool for the doors only because I used a groutless metal expansion strip to join the carpet and hardwood.

In fact, it is so critical to get it right to ensure a clean, professional installation, that contractors typically use their most experienced tile setter to measure & mark these cuts... but now there's the MeasureRIGHT Pro!
SET IT! First, set the MeasureRIGHT Pro by adjusting the tool to the width of the tile end to end, then add the width of the wall joint & the grout joint. MARK IT! Next, position the MeasureRIGHT Pro up against the wall & draw a line along the opposite edge of your tool.
Once your first tile is marked complete Step 2 by sliding your MeasureRIGHT Pro along the wall marking your cuts, one by one, down the entire row of tiles until all are marked. INSTALL IT! Once your tiles are cut using the marks you previously made you're ready to place your cut tiles in the appropriate place & complete your installation.

I am rating this at 4 stars and partially functional because the letters on the short end of the device used for measuring unusual corners or protruding walls don't line up at each of the device. They are off by about 1/2". I went through a couple mis-cut tiles before I realized the letters aren't lined up on each end. But for 95% of my job that didn't require use of the letter function, the device worked great and was way easier than using a piece of wood or such. So I would recommend it, but if you use the letters, you'll have to remove one side with nail polish remover like I did and remark that end more accurately with white nail polish or some other light permanent marker and a T-square.
As a novice diy tile installer I looked for a way to make consistent measurements for corner and side tiles. This tool exceeded my expectations-I simply set the tiles on the completed row and, after setting the tool for the tile size plus grout line I marked them all at once. I only wish I would have invented it.
I had to lay a kithen floor of 16 inch ceramic tile on diagonal and had put it off for a year because of all the cutting (measuring) that would be required. The day before I started the project I saw the tileright 30 on a YouTube video and had to have it. I called Contractors Direct and had them send me one next day air. Before I even finished the field tile the product was at my door. It is so "stupid simple" no more tapes and speed squares, cut my time by 75%, will never do another tile job without it.
