Power Tools: Grinders, Saws, and Metal Working Tools
Angle grinder disc size determines what a grinder can actually handle. A 4.5-inch grinder is light and easy to control for general cutting, grinding, and detail work, while a 7-inch or larger grinder moves more material per pass and takes larger wheels, better suited to heavier surface prep or thicker material removal. This page covers that full range, along with the circular saws and oscillating tools that round out general job site cutting.
Metalworking has its own set of specialized tools mixed in here. A magnetic drill clamps to a steel surface using its own base rather than needing to be held or clamped separately, which makes drilling clean, accurate holes into structural steel far more manageable than a handheld drill alone. Metal finishing systems take that a step further, using belts or linear finishing heads to blend welds and polish pipe or flat stock to a consistent surface finish, work that a standard grinder can't easily replicate.
Dewalt supplies the widest range of grinders, saws, and cutting tools on this page. BIHUI adds more angle grinders and grinder accessories. CS Unitec covers metal finishing systems and belt grinders. Alpha Tools and Gryphon round out grinding kits and glass grinding equipment, and Crowne Tools, BDS Machine, ECHO, Gundlach, IQ Power Tools, Metabo, POWERTEC, QEP, and Rubi Tools fill in the remaining specialty tools and accessories.
