| Your RUBI® manual tile-cutters will allow you to make straight and curve cuts in an easy way. To make a curve, you will draw the curve with a pencil either by hand or using a pattern. Then, you will put another tile of the same size under the tile to be cut with the glaze upside down (this will alow you to get a smooth movement of the tile). Now, you will place the scoring wheel a little bit higher as we now have a thicker tile (note that we have two tiles). Then, you will score the tile following the curve we have marked with the pencil. To do it, you will move the tile at the same time we are scoring it. And, finally, we will break the tile slowly by pressing gently the breaker in both ends of the scored tile. Note that the maximum angle you can have between both ends of the curve should not be lower than 90º. Should this happens, then we recommend to use an electric saw. |
